Services We specialise in the reduction, care and maintenance of Leylandii hedges, from small (2m. or so) to large (over 6m) Large hedges require specialist equipment, which we transport to your garden. As yet, we have not found a hedge that we have been unable to bring under control and to maintain!
Trees Over ten years, we have gained experience in dealing with most common garden trees (beech, ash, sycamore, lime, cherry etc.) Usually, trees in gardens are dismantled rather than felled. This means starting at the top and working down the tree, dropping and chipping branches and logging the trunks. So far, this has been without mishap, although we have been set some difficult tasks of missing greenhouses, telephone cables and garden furniture from time to time!(We are fully insured by the NFU but I intend to keep up our no claims record!) We are often asked to crown lift or crown thin a tree, to reduce its height and spread and we tend to prefer these methods to a crown reduction, which can spoil the overall shape of a tree.
Stump Grinding We are able to grind any type and size of tree stump in most situations (we need access of 30") to a depth of about 14" below ground level. This is a great alternative to using a mechanical digger. There is no damage to the surrounding area and the woodchip produced from grinding mixes with the earth around the stump to go back into the stump hole-perfect!
Wood Chipping We chip all branches and wood waste unsuitable for logging with our Timber Wolf 6" chipper, which can be manoeuvred into most sites.Chip is a useful by-product, which we can remove with the other waste or leave for use as a garden mulch (when rotted) or a path cover.
Garden Tidy We can do a large scale clearance of areas, back to bare ground, or we can tidy an over grown area by pruning shrubs and hedges and strimming long grass etc.We will also lay a lawn, with turf or seed or maintain one with regular cutting
Fencing We will erect any type of wooden fence. Usually, were asked for post and rail fences, with over boarding. We also do panelled fences, either standard or constructed as requested. All the wood is pressure treated and either natural or brown in colour.Post holes are hand dug and posts secured with a dry mix of gravel and cement, which absorbs water and sets as concrete. The dry mix is cleaner and less messy to use than mixed wet concrete and is easier to remove in the future, if required.
